A Bit About the Teacher
Thanks for visiting my website! I am so excited to be teaching P.E. again this year! This is my 2nd year teaching P.E., my 14th year as a substitute teacher, and my 24th year as a St. Teresa School volunteer-14 of those volunteer years have been spent coaching the St. Teresa Twirl Girls!
My path to education and teaching could be considered quite unconventional. I earned an AAS in Business Management from BAC (now SWIC) while working full time at the Belleville News Democrat/going to school full time. This led to my working for an accounting firm for about 15 years. While there, I earned a BS in Business Management (emphasis in MIS) from Tarkio College's extension degree program-one of the first of its kind in this area. I was then fortunate enough to become a domestic goddess, (or some call it a stay-at-home mom :) while my kids attended St. Teresa. I received my substitute teaching certificate from the ROE in 2007 and have enjoyed every moment of subbing, both long and short term, and (now) teaching P. E. at St. Teresa School My husband, John, and I will be celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary in October. My family includes our daughter, Emilye, her husband is Nick and our son, Josh, his wife, Mikayla, and their beautiful baby girl, Maria. In my spare time, I like to read, sew, (especially clothes for my granddaughter) paint, decorate, and design floral arrangements/wreaths. I actually made the bouquets/boutonnieres you can see in our family wedding photo below! I am so happy to be sharing P.E. time with your children this year! |
